Childish Gambino (Donald Glover) has cancelled his upcoming Australian tour, due to a foot injury he suffered at a concert in Dallas last month.
In a statement, Gambino said, “I’m not ready to put on 100% shows. Apologies to the fans. I will be back soon.”
Meanwhile, Gambino’s Australian tour promoter Live Nation said, “Live Nation is working with the artist to try and reschedule the dates for a new time period, we ask fans to please stay tuned – any updates will be available on Live Nation’s website, Facebook and Twitter.”
Gambino was scheduled to perform headline shows in Perth, Melbourne and Sydney in November, and was also set to headline Canberra’s Spilt Milk festival. Spilt Milk organisers are yet to release a statement.
Earlier this month, Live Nation told Music Feeds that Gambino’s Australian tour was still planned to go ahead, despite Gambino reportedly breaking his foot and eventually postponing the remainder of his US tour dates.
