Flume & Tame Impala Are Giving Aussies Representation In The 2021 GRAMMY Nominations

Flume and Tame Impala mark the only two Australian acts that are up for a Grammy award next year, as the nominations were revealed earlier this morning.
Tame Impala earned themselves two nominations, one for ‘Best Alternative Album’ with The Slow Rush and one for ‘Best Rock Song’ with ‘Lost In Yesterday’.

Meanwhile, Flume scored him a nomination for ‘Best Dance Recording’ with ‘The Difference’ alongside Toro y moi.
As for the rest of the noms, Beyoncé extends her lead as most Grammy nominated woman in history with a further nine nods, more than anyone else this year. She’s also up twice for ‘Record Of The Year’, once for ‘Black Parade’ and once for ‘Savage (Remix)’ with Megan Thee Stallion.
Trailing Beyoncé are Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa and Roddy Ricch, who all earned six nominations. Brittany Howard earned five nominations for her solo debut outside of Alabama Shakes, and Megan Thee Stallion, Billie Eilish, Phoebe Bridgers, Justin Bieber and DaBaby all earned four.

The judging of the entries in this category has been postponed until such time that we are able to meet in a way that is appropriate to judge the many formats and configurations of the entries and is safe for the committee members. The nominations for the 63rd GRAMMYs will be announced next year in addition to (and separately from) the 64th GRAMMY nominations in the category.
