Teenager Officially Gets Coolest Birthday Gift Ever, Performs Seek & Destroy Live With Metallica

What did you get for your 13th birthday? Whatever it is, it’s probably not quite as impressive as Evan Adamson, who got to play drums with Metallica in front of a crowd of tens of thousands.
In a video posted earlier this week, the teenager is shown joining the metal icons during their show at Johan Cruijff Arena in Amsterdam. “Oh God, Lars shrunk. They put Lars in the wash,” remarks James Hetfield, dad joke connoisseur.
Evan absolutely nails the opening of Metallica favourite ‘Seek & Destroy’ with the band, being encouraged from aside by drummer Lars Ulrich before he takes over duties for the remainder of the song.

“No words”, wrote the teen on his Instagram after the show. “To play drums in front of 68,000 people with my hero’s [sic] my favourite band of all time was just the best thing ever.”
